ABOUT US

SUNNY SAGARMATHA SAMAJ

Welcome to Sunny Sagarmatha Samaj, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving Nepalese culture and traditions in the Bay Area, California.

We are a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about our heritage and want to share it with others. We believe that by coming together and celebrating our culture, we can create a sense of belonging and pride among our community members.

Throughout the year, we organize a variety of events that showcase the best of Nepalese culture. Some of our popular events include the Dashain-Tihar program, Teej Program, and our signature event, the New Year Picnic.

The Dashain-Tihar program is a time for us to come together and celebrate the most important festivals in Nepalese culture. It’s a time for family and friends to gather, exchange gifts, and enjoy traditional food and music.

The Teej program is another important event in our calendar, which is celebrated by women and young girls. It is a celebration of the bond between husband and wife and is traditionally marked by fasting, prayers, and colorful processions.

But our most popular event is the New Year Picnic. This is an event that brings together more than 2000 people for a day full of fun, food, games, music, and dance. It’s a great opportunity for people to network and make new friends, as well as enjoy some of the best traditional Nepalese cuisine.

We invite you to join us at one of our events and experience the richness of Nepalese culture for yourself. By participating in our events, you will not only learn about our culture, but you will also have a great time and make new friends.

Thank you for visiting our website. We look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon.
