The event to celebrate and honor the successful climbing of Mt. Everest by Tenzing Sherpa, a grandson of And Rita Sherpa, organized by Sunny Sagarmatha Samaj, was held on September 25, 2022, at the Mitchell Park Community Center in Palo Alto, California. The event was organized to recognize the incredible achievement of Tenzing Sherpa, and to honor his family’s legacy in the mountaineering community.
